F44AAB LOW ANGLE PIVOT SPRINKLER
5/03
Because of the wide operating range of pressure and gallonage, only one model is required from the pivot point to the
end gun. Competitive sprinklers require at least two models. Save inventory and cost.
WIDE RANGE OF OPERATION.
From a low of 2 gpm to over 20 gpm, fewer sprinklers are required and pivot package
costs are reduced.
LOW PRESSURE.
From 20 psi, the F44AAB operates over the widest pressure range of any sprinkler in its class. Save
energy and cost.
SELECT FROM 2 NOZZLE TYPES:
1. STANDARD NOZZLE (MODEL 3RN)
Size range 1/8 - 19/64 (#16 - #38)
Pressure Range 20 - 60 PSI
The most economical selection, for use where fluctuating pressures are not a problem. Due to induced turbulence
created by the hydraulic design, droplet breakup is better with the F44AAB than conventional sprinklers, allowing
its use at lower pressures with standard nozzles.
2. FCN
®
FLOW CONTROL NOZZLE (MODEL 3FCN)
Size range 3.0 - 10.0 GPM (to 20 GPM w/ two nozzles)
Pressure Range 20 - 60 PSI
Recommended for systems where field elevation differences or variations in pump pressure cause uneven water
distribution. The FCN maintains a constant flow rate, improving uniformity, reducing pumping costs and saving water.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
·
Any combination of nozzle sizes listed can be used on the drive
nozzle and secondary nozzle sides. Any nozzle listed can be used
on the drive nozzle side with a plug in the secondary nozzle side
(use Model 3RN Plug).
·
Nelson Irrigation Corporation specifically makes no representation
as to the suitability of any nozzle for a particular situation regarding
droplet size, uniformity, or application rate.
·
The Model 4V stream straightener vane will fit both the drive nozzle
and secondary nozzle sides and is recommended for high pressure
operation (over 60 PSI) to reduce stream breakup and increase
throw distance.
·
See other side for flow data.
