Childproof lock
The hob can be protected against being accidentally turned on,
to ensure that children do not switch on the hotplates.
Activating and deactivating the childproof
lock.
The hob should be turned off.
To activate: press the
˜ symbol for approximately 3 seconds.
The
‚
symbol lights up for 10 seconds. The hob is locked.
To deactivate: press the ˜ symbol for approximately 3 seconds.
The lock is now deactivated.
Note:
The childproof lock can be accidentally activated by the
presence of water spilled while cleaning, food that has spilled
over or objects resting on the ˜ symbol.

With this function, the childproof lock automatically activates
when a hob is switched off.

Flexible zone
This may be used as one complete hotplate or two individual
hotplates depending on the actual cooking needs.
Operation.
It consists of several independently controlled inductors. When
the zone is working, those inductors that are not covered by
cookware are automatically turned off.
Advice on using cookware
To ensure that the cookware is detected and heat is distributed
evenly, correctly centre the cookware:
■
in the upper or lower part of the flexible zone, when the
cookware is smaller than 13 cm (see diagram)
■
or in one of the two halves of the flexible zone, when the
cookware is larger than 13 cm (see diagram).
When using cookware of a different size or made of a different
material, noise and vibrations that do not affect the correct
working of the zone may occur.
Consisting of two independent zones
The flexible zone can be used normally as two independent
hotplates.

As one hotplate
To use the entire hotplate with all individual zones.
How to activate
The hob must be switched on.
1.
Position the cookware and, using the ( ) symbol, select one of
the two hotplates from the flexible hotplate. Then select the
required power level.

Press the ï symbol. The • indicators light up. The flexible
hotplate has been activated. The power level is displayed on
one or both of the indicators for the hotplates on the flexible
hotplate, depending on the location and size of the cookware.

To change the power level: Select the flexible hotplate with
one of the ( ) symbols for the hotplate and change the power
level with the + or - symbols.
To add more cookware
Select the flexible hotplate then press the
ï
symbol. The
indicator lights for approximately 3 seconds during the search
and detection of a new piece of cookware. The previously
selected power level is maintained. To change this, press the +
or - symbol.
To deactivate
Select the zone and press the ï symbol twice. To deactivate
the flexible zone, the ï symbol must be pressed twice within
two seconds.
