Connection of the Disk Array Unit as an Additional Unit
This section describes the procedure of installing the disk array unit as an additional expansion unit.
•
The following describes a sample connection when a single disk array unit is
installed as an expansion unit into a system containing another disk array unit.
•
For the actual expansion job and system configuration, contact your trained service
engineer.
To make any of the sample connections, you need to connect two host bus adapters connected with the
host system and two FC switches.
Six LC-LC cables (or six SC-SC cables and four FC conversion cables) are necessary for connecting
the FC switch and host bus adapters.
