3. Addition of Disk Drive by adding Node
You can add disk drives by adding node (node without host port) to the unit. Extended node chassis
[NF5183-SB03E], cable between nodes (7m) [NF9120-SJ65], standard cache module (CHE)
[NF5183-SC21E] and Disk Director (DD) [NF5183-SD01E] are required.
As already explained, the number of connectable disk enclosure per node can be expanded from 16 units
to 32 units, and the number of connectable disk drive per node from 192 units to 384 units by adding a
Disk Director (DD) [NF5183-SD01E].
By adding one node, the number of connectable disk enclosure is up to 64, and the number of connectable
disk drive is up to 768.
