This vacuum cleaner is for household use
only.
Read all instructions before use.
When using this electrical appliance basic
precautions should be followed including
the following.
Warning!
To reduce the risk of Fire, Electric Shock and Injury
• Refer all servicing to qualified servicing personnel.
Servicing is required when the appliance has been
damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug
is damaged, liquid had been spilled or objects have fallen
into the appliance, the appliance has been exposed to
rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been
dropped. Do not use damaged device until service has
been completed.
• The vacuum cleaner must only be charged using the
included charge base and only be operated using the
included batteries. Do not replace with non-rechargeable
batteries, only replace with Neato genuine batteries.
Information on where to purchase replacement batteries
can be found at NeatoRobotics.com.
• Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched
particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the
point where they exit from the apparatus.
• The AC wall outlet should be installed near to the unit and
be easily accessible.
• Only use attachments or accessories specified by Neato
Robotics, Inc.
• Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or
grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with
one wider than the other.
• The charge base should only be used with a Type SPT-2 or
equivalent power cord of at least 0.5mm
2
and no longer
than 2 meters. The power cord shall comply with the
requirements of the country of use.
• See National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, specifically
for the installation of wiring and clearances from power
and lightning conductors.
• Do not install or use the charge base within 10 feet of a
pool.
• Do not use the charge base in a bathroom.
• Keep away from water, chemicals.
• Make sure that your vacuum cannot get caught on
tablecloths, curtains, hanging electric cords, or other cord-
like items.

Children over 8 years old and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities can use the Vacuum cleaner
if they are supervised or shown how to use it in a safe way
and understand any hazards. Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children without supervision. Children
should not play with the robot. Routine cleaning and
maintenance of the Neato Robot should be performed by
adults.
• Do not pull or carry by power cord, use power cord as
a handle, close door on the power cord, or pull the cord
around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over
power cord. Keep power cord away from heated surfaces.
• Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
• Do not unplug by pulling on the power cord. To unplug,
grasp the plug not the cord.
• Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any
opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything
that may reduce air flow.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body
away from openings and moving parts.
• Turn off all controls before unplugging.
• Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids,
such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be
present.
• Do not handle charger, including charger plug and charger
terminal with wet hands.
• Do not charge the unit outdoors.
• Do not incinerate the appliance even if it is severely
damaged. The batteries can explode in a fire.
• Do not use without dust bag and/or filters in place.
• Do not use to pick up anything that is burning or smoking,
such as cigarettes, matches or hot ashes.
• Do not Sit, Stand or Step on the Appliance.
• IF THE AREA TO BE CLEANED CONTAINS A CLIFF, DROP,
BALCONY, FIREPLACE OR OTHER AREA WHERE THE
VACUUM COULD TRAVEL/FALL THAT REPRESENTS
DANGER PLACE A PHYSICAL BARRIER TO PREVENT
TRAVEL IN THAT AREA. THE DROP AND BOUNDARY
MARKERS ARE TO HELP THE ROBOT NAVIGATE DURING
CLEANING BUT SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON SOLELY
TO AVOID A DANGEROUS SITUATION. CLEAN DROP
SENSORS.
• Before using the vacuum cleaner pick up loose objects like
toys, clothing, loose papers, power cords, shoelaces, pull
cords, and any other items that may become entangled
or pulled by the cleaner. Pay particular attention to table
lamps which can be pulled by the cleaner. Remove, block
expensive items that could be damaged by the vacuum
cleaner touching or pushing them.
• Used Battery Packs should be disposed of in accordance
with local regulations.
• If there is any evidence of the battery pack leaking, do not
use the device.
• The battery pack must be removed from the appliance
before shipping, storage (no use for two weeks) or disposal
of the appliance.
• Do not crush, heat, or dismantle the battery pack.
• Do not place the battery pack near a heat source.
• Do not vacuum floor with an exposed electrical outlets.
• Do not short circuit the battery pack.
• Do not pull on the wires when removing the battery pack,
pull on the connector.
• Do not immerse the battery pack in any liquid.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a
polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This
plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the
proper plug; do not change the plug in anyway.
• WARNING – TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
– UNPLUG BEFORE CLEANING OR SERVICING.
