If the disk inserted is new, then the camera will be
ready to take pictures 10 seconds after the disk is up
to speed. (Indicated by the ‘DISK OUT’ LED
switching off).
If the new disk inserted is not formatted then this is
indicated by the ‘DISK OUT LED’ remaining on. Replace
the cartridge with a formatted one.
If the cartridge is accidentally set to ‘read only’ by the
metal tab on the underside of the cartridge then this will
indicated by LED 11 and the ‘DRV’ LED being
illuminated. Correct this by removing the cartridge and
rotating the metal tab on the underside fully away from
the ‘read only’ position.
If the disk inserted contains images then the DCS will
scan the disk to check that all images are older then the
expiry period set by the application. If all images are
older than this period then all the images on the disk will
be deleted. This auto delete process takes about 2
minutes. If no expiry period is set then no deletion will
take place.
The AUTO DELETE process is indicated by LED 11 on
the DCS.

Quick flashing- You can remove the cartridge within
20 seconds of quick flashing without loss of data.
●
OFF (following quick flashing)- No deletion has
taken place. The disk has some new images but is OK
for use because it also has space for more than 3 days
operation (more than 2100 images).
●
ON (following quick flashing)- No deletion has taken
place. The disk is unsuitable for use because it has
new files and is Full or Full soon.
●
Slow flashing- Deletion of files in progress.
