Configuration via Programming Barcodes
PRECONDITION:

Print the 7895 programming barcodes in this section.
STEPS:
1.
Using a RS232/Serial communication cable, connect the NCR 7895 scanner to
a computer or POS terminal and boot up the scanner. The scanner produces
three incrementing beeps after booting up.
2.
Scan the following barcode to set
RS232 Host Type
to “NCR Host” in
terface
and activate RS232 driver.
3.
Set the RS232 parameters for NCR Host:
(*) Default values; no need to change unless needed

Baud Rate:
9600
*
•
Parity:
Odd
*
•
Stop Bits:
One Stop Bit
*
•
Data Bits:
Seven Bits
*
•
NCR Use Prefix:
Enable
*
Note: If
customer doesn’t use prefix, disable this setting. Scan the
following barcodes to enable/disable NCR Prefix.
