Channel Spacing

Channel spacing is fixed at 25KHz.

Data Speed

If the data speeds of the radio interface and the serial
interface differ, the radio modem temporarily buffers
data being transferred, so no data loss occurs.

When channel spacing is set to 25KHz, the internal
port data rate is 19.2kbps. When channel spacing is
set to 12.5KHz, the internal port data rate is 9.6kbps.

Transmitter

The transmitter output power is adjustable: It can be
set at 100, 200, 500, or 1000 mW (1 W). To conserve
battery life, the transmitter output power should be set
to the lowest possible level that ensures error-free
connections under variable conditions.

High output power levels using short
connection distances can, in the worst case,
disturb the overall operation of the system.

The greatest allowable power
depends on the limits set by local
authorities, which limits must not be
exceeded under any circumstance.
