The interface is installed at the DVD / Nav-
igation unit located in the front of the vehi-
cle below the screen.
To remove the Navigation unit you will need to
remove the trim that houses the two main air
vents (1) (
trim clips only, 6 series has 1
screw behind the hazard switch
) then
remove 2 screws holding the centre trim that
surrounds the navigation unit (2). The trim will
then come away (trim clips only) Next remove
the screws holding the unit.

OPV-2BMW (CAN)
Plug the interface into the corresponding 8
way plug and mount.
OPV-2BMW (MOST)
Plug the interface into the corresponding 12
way plug and mount.
Connect your VIDEO source to the YELLOW
Phono socket.
Connect your AUDIO source to the RED &
BLACK Phono sockets.
Connect the BLUE cable to a suitable 12v+ or
remote out to activate your new added A/V
source.

Remove the “Quadlock” connector

from the unit and remove the optical plug from
the position shown
(fig01)
plug the “Quadlock”
into the supplied harness, then plug the
supplied harness into the unit.
Next remove the small blue locking tab from
the optical plug and pull the
OUT (2)
cable out
of the plug. Connect this cable to the
OUT (2)
cable of the supplied optical harness using the
black joiner. Now insert the
IN (1)
cable from
the supplied optical harness into the
OUT (2)
socket of the factory optical plug. Insert the
factory optical plug into the supplied
“Quadlock” at the position shown in
(fig01)
