Ac Wiring Entry Points

Top Ac Entry

For top entry, ac wiring enters the transmitter cabinet through the right side of the top panel (see

Figure 1.5.1

). There is a cover plate with a 3/8-inch pilot hole. You can punch a larger hole in the plate

(up to 2 inches in diameter) for conduit interfacing or you can remove the plate to expose a smaller
rectangular hole. Wiring must fit through a 0.67-inch x 2.74 -inch ac entry duct that runs along the
inside of the transmitter cabinet. For multi-wire conductors, you may need to strip back the cable’s
outer jacket by at least 90 inches to allow individual conductors to pass through the ac entry duct (see

Figure 1.5.2 on page 1.5.5

).

CABLE ENTRY NOTE:

AC WIRING ACCESS HOLE HAS A REMOVEABLE

PLATE WITH A PRE-CUT 3/8-INCH DIA HOLE.

USE A CHASSIS PUNCH TOOL (e.g., GREENLEE)

TO CREATE THE DESIRED HOLE SIZE (UP TO

2 INCHES) ON THE PLATE. REMOVE THE PLATE

TO ACCESS A SMALLER RECTANGULAR HOLE.
