Locate the thermal probe inside the tube holder, mounted on the screen. Using a
piece of masking tape, mark the exact location where the thermal probe is
attached to the screen—this location is important for accurate
temperature readings.

Cut and remove the cable tie from the probe.

Carefully holding the tube holder in place, remove and save the four
tube-holder mounting screws that secure the tube holder to the top of the drying
cabinet (see Figure 6.2).

Lower the tube holder, using care not to pull on the thermal probe cable. Lift or
remove the screen, then reattach the grounding wire connecting the screen to
the tube holder.

Remove the thermal probe cable from the notch in the tube holder.

Push the grommet up through the hole in the top of the drying chamber (see
Figure 6.2).

Push the thermal probe up through the hole, then remove the probe from
the Drier.
To install the new thermal probe:

Insert the new thermal probe through the notch in the tube holder.

Remove the grounding wire connecting the screen to the tube holder; lower the
screen, then raise the tube holder.

Secure the tube holder to the drying cabinet with the four saved tube holder
mounting screws.

Attach a cable tie to the probe.

Remove the masking tape used to mark the proper location of the
thermal probe.
