3. Insert the dowels into the edge of the headboard panels as shown below.
4. Matching the numbers on the legs with the same numbers on the ends of the
panels, bring the upper headboard panel and lower headboard panel to the legs as
shown below. The arrows on the metal cams must point towards the leg. NB: the
circular metal cam on the lower headboard panel is on the inside of the bed frame –
see the upper photo – where it will be hidden by the slat base/mattress.
The lower photo has been taken from the other side and shows that the cams on the
headboard panel are on the back of the bed (where they won’t be seen when the bed
is assembled and the back is against the wall).

5. Use the hexagon key to tighten all the cams:
6. Complete the headboard assembly by connecting the other headboard leg in the
same way.
7. Assemble the footboard in the same way as you have constructed the headboard
(ensuring the cams are on the inside of the bed frame and so will be hidden by the
mattress/slat base)
8. Screw the threaded bolts into the metal inset nuts in the headboard and
footboard legs and tap the wooden dowels into the ends of the side rails. Bring the
