How can I determine which version of the software I have installed?

The Read Me file gives the version of the software. To read the file, select 
Read Me under Start»Programs»NI Serial Software for Windows 95.

What information should I have before I call National Instruments?

When you call National Instruments, you should have the results of the 
Diagnostic test. Also, make sure you have filled out the hardware and 
software configuration form in Appendix F,
