
Resuscitation
With the proper head tilt and chin lift procedure,
the airway will be opened to be ventilated .
Ventilation can be performed with a properly sized
bag-valve mask resuscitator or by mouth-to-mouth
or mouth-to-mask .
Note: If using the mouth-to-mouth or mouth-
to-mask technique, replace the single-use face
shield airway system after each use to reduce
contamination risk between participants.
Realistic chest compressions may be practiced
as recommended for newborns and infants . An
audible click will be heard when the correct
compression depth is reached .
Crying:
• Newborn cries can
be simulated using
the included squeeze
bulb (Fig . H) . This does
not connect to the
manikin or tubing .

Maintenance, and Storage
1 . Most cleaning can be done using a soft cloth,
mild liquid soap, and warm water .
2 . Stubborn stains can be treated using Nasco
Cleaner (SKU LF09919U) . CAUTION: Do not use
around the nose or mouth of the trainer as it
may be toxic if ingested.
3 . Stains caused by makeup, ink, pens, or
newsprint are indelible and cannot be removed .
Avoid contact with these substances .
4 . When fully dry, store the trainer and its
components in the included carry bag .
