6.4 transmitter installation and operation

WARNING
• Risk of burns! Ensure appliance is cool before starting this process.
A transmitter comes standard with this appliance and can be found in the manual baggie. This control is designed
to turn your appliance “ON” and “OFF”.
Placement of the transmitter may affect performance. This control should be in the same space as the appliance
and used to operate the appliance only when it is within sight. The control must be placed within 30 feet of the
appliance and under weather resistant cover when used in exterior applications.
Initializing the transmitter for the first time:
• Remove the battery cover from the back of the transmitter and install A23
battery as indicated (+/-)
• Locate the control module in the appliance

• Move the ON/OFF/REMOTE selector switch to the REMOTE position.
Control module will beep once when ready

• Using a small item (such as a paper clip) press and release the “LEARN”
button located near the selector switch

• The control module will beep once and the “STATUS” light will blink green
for 10 seconds.
• While the light is blinking, press the power button on the transmitter. The
module will beep twice to indicate that the connection is successful.
To clear the memory of the control module, use a paper clip to press
and release the “LEARN” button. The module will beep once and
the “STATUS” light will blink green for 10 seconds. Do not press any
buttons on the transmitter during this period and the memory will be
cleared.
