6. Before replacing the burner
assembly, adjust the air shutter
opening to 0” for natural and 1/4”
for propane.
7. Replace and re-secure the
burner tube and deflector,
ensuring that the venturi fits
over the burner orifice.
8. Replace the glass ember tray.
9. To convert the main valve
to the desired fuel, follow the
instructions that are supplied
with the regulator assembly kit.
10. The conversion data label must be filled out and
attached adjacent to the valve.
11. Turn on the gas supply and check for gas leaks by
brushing on a soap and water solution.
Do not use open flame.
12. Light the pilot and main burner to ensure that the gas
lines have been purged.
13. Replace glass ember.
14. Close the glass viewing door. Turn on the electrical
supply to the appliance.

with these diagrams or failure to use only parts specifically
approved with this appliance may result in property

The gas supply shall be shut off prior to disconnecting the
electrical power, before proceeding with the conversion.
1. Remove the safety barrier and glass door.
2. Remove all glass ember and glass ember tray.
3. Remove burner tube and deflector by removing the
three screws located behind the burner tube. (FIGURE 2)
4. Using a deep socket wrench, remove the main burner
orifice. A back-up wrench must be used on the manifold,
located below the housing to ensure that the aluminium tubing
does not twist or kink. Replace the burner orifice supplied
using pipe thread compound.
5.
Remove the burner hood from the pilot assembly by
pulling vertically. Use a slotted screw driver to unscrew
the injector. Replace the pilot injector with the one supplied.
Replace the pilot hood onto the assembly ensuring key
position for proper alignment. (FIGURE 4)

the door.

This conversion kit shall be installed by a qualified service agency in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions and all applicable codes and requirements of the authority having
jurisdiction. If the information in these instructions is not followed exactly, a fire, explosion
or production of carbon monoxide may result causing property damage, personal injury or
loss of life. The qualified service agency is responsible for the proper installation of this kit.
The installation is not proper and complete until the operation of the converted appliance is
checked as specified in the owner instructions supplied with the kit.

NOTE: When removing the glass ember tray ensure the
glass is away from the center of the screen, exposing
the burner, before lifting glass tray out. When replacing
burner, absolutely no glass can be in orifice housing.
HINT
: If glass falls into orifice housing and surrounding area,
insert a clean bag into a shop vac and vaccuum out glass,
replacement glass can be ordered from Wolf Steel Ltd.
