Unpack
Make sure your player includes the following accessories:

Power supply
1 Press the
OPEN
button to release the latch and lift the top of the DAV398 player.
2 Remove the battery compartment cover on the inside of the DAV398.
3 Insert the two supplied Gum rechargeable batteries. Ensure the batteries are inserted properly by matching the + and –symbols on the battery
with the symbols on the DAV398.
4 Replace the battery compartment cover.
5 Plug the supplied Adapter into DC IN Jack on the side of DAV398 and into a power outlet.
Notice:
l
Once the power adapter is connected, the player will switch to use the DC power input instead of using batteries power.
l
Non-rechargeable batteries are forbidden to use with the power adapter! Make sure the batteries are rechargeable batteries
before use with the adapter.
l
The adapter starts to recharge the batteries when the player is turned off.
l
It is strongly recommended to disconnect the adapter after the batteries are fully recharged.
l
Only use the supplied power adapter, other types of power adapter may damage the unit, if they are not compatible with the
player.

Connections
1. Connect the supplied earphones to the EARPHONE jack on the side of the player.
2. If you are using the Remote Control, plug the earphone into the Remote Control and then plug the Remote Control into the Earphone/ Remote
Control Jack on the side of player.
