The DX-CD2 is designed to scrape the data layer of a CD/DVD-ROM, CD/DVD-R, or CD/DVD-
RW disc thus making the information totally unreadable. The resulting process produces a clear poly-
carbonate disc; the residual ink and metals are collected in the dust bag.
Both the dust bag and the polycarbonate disc can be discarded in a normal trash container. However,
an alternative recycling program is offered, which takes all discarded materials and recycles them for
a cleaner environment.
In addition to CD and DVD polycarbonate disc material, Digital Data Destruction also recycles de-
commissioned hard drives, tape cartridges, and flash drives.
