2. Regular and proper cleaning will help ensure safe use and prolong the life of the product.
3. Inspect the product before each use for worn and damaged parts. Do not operate it if you find broken and worn parts.
Warning:
Disconnect the machine from the power supply before maintenance.
Warning:
Only perform cleaning and maintenance work according to these instructions. If further works are required, they must be performed
by a qualified specialist, using only genuine and approved spare parts for replacement.
The electric shredder features two cutting blades that can be reversed or replaced to keep the cutting edges sharp. The two blades should always be reversed
or replaced at the same time.
It is recommended to replace/reverse the blades when the wood sticks can not be automatically drawn into the shredder after entering the hopper. One set of
sharp edges can cut approximately 400 lbs (181 kg) of materials, depending on the hardness of the sticks.
When the cutting capacity is reached, make sure to replace/reverse the shredder blades to maintain optimal performance.
Replacement of the cutting blades
Warning:
Wear protective gloves to protect your hands. The blades are sharp and fragile. Handle the blades carefully to avoid personal injury
or causing damage to the blades.
1. Switch off the shredder and disconnect it from the power supply. Wait for the
blades to come to a complete stop.
2. Fully unscrew the hopper locking knob (Fig. 4 - 1) until it springs out. Open
the hopper to access the cutting head (Fig. 5).
3. Remove all wood chips or foreign matter sticking to the cutting head and
blades using a soft brush.
4. Rotate the cutting head so that it appears as shown in Fig. 5. To prevent the
cutting head from rotating during blade change, insert a rod through the blade
guard hole (Fig. 5 - 1) and the slot in the cutting head.
5.
WARNING:
The cutting blades have sharp cutting edges on both sides. Make
sure to wear work gloves to prevent injuries.
6. Each blade is secured with two hex bolts (Fig. 5 - 2). Remove the blade from
the inner edge of the blade guard where both hex bolts can be accessed.
7. Unscrew the hex bolts counterclockwise using a hex wrench and remove the
blade.
8. Turn the cutting head 180 degrees to remove the other blade.
9. The blades may be reversed when one of the cutting edges becomes loses its
sharpness or becomes damaged. Reverse the direction of the original blades, or
install two new blades. Make sure to reverse or replace both blades at the same
time. Align the slots on the blade with the grooves on the cutting head.

. Secure each blade with two hex bolts and firmly tighten using a hex wrench.
Close the hopper and fully tighten the hopper locking knob.

To maintain maximum efficiency of the motor, inspect the carbon brushes regularly and replace them when the length of the brushes shorten to 3/16 of an inch
(0.47 cm). The two carbon brushes can be accessed through the front and back carbon brush covers located on the bottom of the shredder body. To inspect
or replace the carbon brushes:
Replacement of the carbon brushes
1. Switch off the machine and disconnect the shredder from the power supply.
2. Unscrew the Phillips head screw from the housing and open the carbon brush cover
(Fig. 6).
3. Unscrew the two small Phillips screws inside (Fig. 6) to remove the carbon brushes.
4. Replace the carbon brush holder and carbon brush cover. Tighten all screws.
5. Repeat the steps above to replace the carbon brush located on the other side of the
motor.
