8. Press Open/Close to open the drawer and remove the M55/T585 Firmware Upgrade
CD.
9. Close the drawer and power the unit off from the back panel power switch.
10. Power the M55/T585 back on.
11. Press the "SETUP" button on the M55/T585 Remote.
12. Using the M55/T585 Remote, press the "Down" navigation button FOUR Times to
highlight the
Information (Hand) Tab.
13. Press the "Right" then the "Down" navigation button to highlight the "Restore
Setting".
14. Choose "YES”.
15. Using the M55/T585 remote, type 550x, where x is the region code for your region
(for
Example type 5501 for NTSC in North America and 5502 for PAL in Europe).
16. The setup menu will blank out and come back on in about 5 seconds.
17. After the setup menu reappears, press the setup button to clear the setup screen.
18. Turn off the M55/T585 using the remote or front power button.
19. Now hard power off the M55/T585 from the rear panel switch.
20. Leave the M55/T585 off for more than 30 minutes before powering back on. This
ensures the M55/T585 software upgrade will overwrite previous software.
Failure to do this last step will result in possible erratic operation of the M55/T585 as
the new software completely overwrites the previous software. The M55/T585 requires
this last step to insure reset of the M55/T585 and complete overwriting of the previous
software.
21. After powering on the M55/T585, press the “SETUP” key, press the "Down"
navigation button FOUR
Times to highlight the Information (Hand) Tab.
22. Press the "Right" then the "Down" navigation button to highlight “Others”, and
then type in 9.
23. Press "Down" navigation button to highlight Firmware Info; the new Firmware
Version will be listed. i.e.
REV: V 2.xxSx.
24. Press Setup to Exit.
25. This completes the M55/T585 Upgrade Procedure.
