7. Basic security instructions
• Do not use the On-Board Unit in contra-
diction with its service manual.
• Do not manipulate with the On-Board
Unit while driving a vehicle, its control is
blocked for safety reasons.
• Do not press the buttons using angular
and/or sharp objects (e.g. a pen). Prevent
any mechanical handling of the On-Bo-
ard Unit resulting in its surface damage
(e.g. writing on it, sticking stickers onto
it, etc.).
• The On-Board Unit may only be connec-
ted to direct-current voltage in the range
from 9 to 32 V.
• Check regularly whether the power cable
is not damaged.
• Prevent any excessive impact of tempera-
ture, hits and shakes.
• Prevent penetration of any external ob-
jects, dust or liquids into the On-Board
Unit. Do not use any evaporable solvents
such as an alcohol, thinner, petrol and co-
arse detergents for cleaning.
• If the On-Board Unit is fully or partially
non-functioning in result of incorrect or
unauthorized use or if it shows any signs
of mechanical or other damage or if it is
not returned within a determined dead-
line, the system operator is entitled to
charge a contractual fine for On-Board
Unit damaging according to the current
tariff of fees.
