Each actuator is serialised. Please keep a central record of these locally for any
future service or maintenance enquiries.
Actuators and motors
Always be aware of your environment. No small children or pets should be present when unpacking or assembling your product.
All packing and shipping materials need to be disposed of properly after assembly of your product.
Despite safety mechanisms being in place to reduce the risk of pinching, fingers, hands, arms and legs should not be put
underneath the raised head or leg sections at any time.
Supervision is required when operating your adjustable bed base if children or pets are in the same room. DO NOT OPERATE the
bed if people or animals are in the immediate vicinity of the bed base, or underneath the bed base.
The product has been designed for in-home/facility use. Do not use your electric, adjustable bed base outdoors. This will
immediately void any warranty.
Before leaving the User in the bed, the functions of the bed should be checked to ensure full functionality is available.
When positioning the bed, ensure that the bed-head and foot sections will not come in contact with fixed objects, such as
window sills and shelves, as this can cause structural damage to the bed frames.
Once the bed is in the correct position, the wheels on the bed should be locked to avoid it rolling away when the user is entering
or exiting the bed.
Unlock the castors before moving the bed base/travelling within the room. Failure to do so will cause the castors to collapse,
and all warranties will be voided.
Electric, adjustable bed bases are simple to use with all functions available on the handset controller.
Before use, please ensure that an Allied Health Professional has approved the use of each function as users with certain
medical conditions or needs may not be suitable for using tilt and leg raise functions.
Always ensure that the power to the product is off, and that the power cord is detached from any power supply before
assembling, using, cleaning, or performing and maintenance on your product.
Before you disconnect the power cable from the power supply, please return your adjustable bed base to the flat, supine
position, and stop operating/moving the position of the bed via the handset controller.
Because electronics are used on the bed, special care should be taken to avoid getting water on the electrical components.
Keep the power cord away from water and heated areas. If your adjustable bed base is wet, or the power cord has any fraying,
or stress marks, immediately cease using the product and contact your distributer for advice.
Do not operate your adjustable bed base near explosive gases, or when aerosol spray products are being used.
Unplug your electronic gadgets and accessories from the USB port (option) of your electric, adjustable base if they are fully
charged.
In the case of a warranty call, MULTiWAY reserve the right to remove and replace the parts with the same, or equivalent
components. They may or may not be identical to those previously issued with the product.
Your new electric, adjustable bed base has been quality tested and inspected prior to dispatch. It is highly recommended that
these instructions are read thoroughly before you assemble or use your bed, to ensure your piece of equipment performs as per
the manufacturer and supplier's intended use, and in accordance with the product features. Adjustable beds are designed to
increase user independence and comfort. The type of bed required depends on the specific needs of the use. You are strongly
advised to seek guidance from an Allied Health Professional to determine which type of electrical adjustable bed is right for your
needs if you have a clinical condition or physical disability.
