DeviceHQ Onboarding
Initial factory out of the box setup and using DeviceHQ onboarding process
DeviceHQ account setup
1. End user login, sign up and register to DeviceHQ with new account
2. End user need to generate a new Device / Machine API key pair
3. End user need to create a MTCAPW configuration file with the machine API key pair in step 2
4. End user upload MTCAPW zipped configuration file created in step 3 to DeviceHQ
MTCAPW device setup require only power on and check LED status
5. Install CBRS SIM card
6. Attach two LTE antennas
7. Power on the device
8. Wait for two minutes and check all the LEDs on the device to indicate active wifi and internet connection
9. MTCAPW will automatically register to DeviceHQ after active internet connection
End user claiming the MTCAPW on DeviceHQ
10. Login to DeviceHQ
11. Go to URL https://www.devicehq.com/devices/claiming#/
12. Enter the serial number of the MTAPW that just checked in above
13. Assign device configuration file in step 4 to the device serial number selected
14. Power off/on the device and wait for a few minutes so device will auto check in, get the new
configuration file, apply the new configuration file and auto reboot. If everything is successful, the device
will now show up in the end customer DeviceHQ account
Local Bulk Onboarding
Intial factory out of the box setup and local onboarding precess: Windows 10 PC setup and third parties SW need
to be installed.
