Please read these instructions carefully before use and retain for future reference.

• 

Avoiding exposure to extreme heat or cold, your scale works better when operated 

at normal room temperature. 

• 

Always allow the scale to acclimate to normal room temperature for at least 1 hour 

before first use. 

• 

Allow sufficient warm up time. Usually 30 seconds to give the internal components 

time to stabilize before calibration or use.

• 

Keep your scale in a clean environment. Dust, dirt, moisture, vibration, air currents  

and a close proximity to other electronic equipment can all cause an adverse effect 

on the reliability and accuracy of your scale. 

• 

Handle with care. Gently apply all items to be weighed onto the tray top.

• 

Avoid shaking, dropping or otherwise shocking the scale. This is a precision 

instrument  and must be handled with extreme care.

• 

Only operate the scale on a stable, flat, vibration free surface.

• 

Always remove the batteries if the scales are not to be used for long periods.

TARE WEIGHING:

• 

Turn on scale as described above.

• 

Place the “tare item” (eg: empty container) on the platform.

• 

Press [TARE] and wait until “0.0” is  displayed.

• 

Add the “net-weight-item” into the container and the screen will display the weight. 

CALIBRATION

• 

Reset the scale by pressing [ON/OFF] key.

• 

Wait until the LCD displays “0.0” and then press and HOLD [MODE] key for 3 

seconds. 

• 

Place scale on a horizontal flat surface. 

• 

Press [ON/OFF] key to turn on the scale.

• 

Wait until the LCD displays “0.0”.

• 

Put the object(s) to be weighed on the weighing platform.

• 

Press the [MODE] key to switch between the weighing units.

• 

The scales will automatically turn off after about 3 minutes of inactivity.

• 

If the display shows “EEEE” it is overloaded - remove the excess load immediately 

to avoid damage.

• 

If the display shows “LLLLL” the load cells may have been overloaded or the scales 

shocked. If the cells are not seriously damaged recalibration may restore operation.

• 

If the display shows “OUT2” the scales need calibrating.
