Preparatory steps

Remove cylinder head covers (→ Page 107).

Remove guard plate and install barring tool (→ Page 88).

Turn crankshaft in direction of rotation using
barring tool until TDC mark (1) and pointer (2)
are aligned.

Calibrating measuring jigs 1 and
2

Place measuring unit (2) on calibration
plate (3).
