WARNING!
Before beginning installation, place the
tractor on a firm and level surface. Place the PTO in the
disengaged (OFF) position, stop the tractor engine
and set the parking brake.
NOTE:
References to LEFT and RIGHT indicate the left and
right sides of the tractor when facing forward in the operator’s
position. Reference to the FRONT indicates the grille end; to the
REAR the drawbar end.
Mounting Bumper to Model 100, 600, 800, 900 and
Model year 2007 & Newer 700 Tractors
WARNING!
Muffler may be hot! Make sure engine
has cooled down before installing bumper.
NOTE:
On some older units, a shoulder bolt may already be
present. If this is the case, skip Step 1.
Install the two shoulder bolts onto the tractor as seen in
1.
Fig. 3-1, and secure with two lock nuts from the hardware
pack.
To mount the bumper to the tractor, hook the notched

ends (slots) of the bumper onto the shoulder bolts on the
sides of the tractor frame. See Fig. 3-1.
Align the holes in the bumper with the holes in the tractor

frame and insert the quick release pin through the top hole
of the bumper assembly from the outside as seen in Fig.
3-1. Repeat on the opposite side.
Mounting Bumper to Model Year 2006 and Prior
700 Series Tractors
WARNING:
Muffler may be hot! Make sure engine
has cooled down before installing bumper.
To mount the bumper to the tractor, slide the bumper

over the front brackets, aligning the top-rear holes in the
bumper over the upper rear holes in the bracket.
See Figure 3-2.
Insert a 5/16-18” shoulder bolt, from the hardware pack, on

each side of the tractor through the upper notched section
of the bumper and then the aligning tractor mounting
hole. Secure with a 5/16-18 flange lock nut from the
hardware pack. See Fig. 3-2.
Insert a 5/16-18” hex bolt on each side from the outside

through the holes and secure with the hex flange nuts. See
Fig. 3-2.
IMPORTANT:
If the tractor is equipped with a muffler guard
between the tractor brackets, the hex bolts should be bolted into
the guard. The nuts will not be necessary.
