Press the RUN/STOP button ( ) on the
control unit.
When the handpiece is on, the set
piercing speed stops pulsing and the
piercing speed is continuously dis-
played until the handpiece is switched
off.
If the connected handpiece does not
start:

To switch off the handpiece:

Press the RUN/STOP button again.
7 Cleaning and maintenance
NOTICE
Risk of short-circuit and risk of mild elec-
tric shocks
If components of the device are dismantled
and cleaned when voltage is present, there
is a risk of damage to the electronics.

Disconnect the control unit from the
power supply before starting all clean-
ing and maintenance work.

Damage caused by fluid
If cleansers or disinfectants get inside the
handpiece, the control unit or the power
supply, a short-circuit can occur. The elec-
trical and mechanical components can
also corrode.

Never immerse the handpiece, control
unit or power supply in cleansers or
disinfectants.

Never clean the handpiece, control unit
or power supply in autoclaves or ultra-
sonic baths.

Pay attention to compatibility of materi-
als when selecting cleansers and disin-
fectants (see chapter 7.2 on page 38).
7.1 Routine maintenance
The device has no self-serviceable parts.
As part of the maintenance of the device,
a regular inspection (biennial service) is
required at intervals of 24 months. The
inspection may
only be carried out by
authorized local distributors in accor-
dance with the manufacturer's instruc-
tions. All steps required for the inspec-
tion of the device can be found on the in-
spection sheet included in delivery.

Send the device at regular intervals of
24 months to your local distributor to
have it inspected in accordance with
the manufacturer's instructions (bien-
nial service).
7.2 Material compatibility

To clean the device, use a 50% aque-
ous 1-propanol solution or a mild soap
solution, which is approved in your
country.

To disinfect the device, use one of the
following disinfectants:
