MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
KTM 1290 Super Duke R 2017-
Thank you for buying a MRA Windshield.
Read this manual carefully and check the parts list for completeness before you begin. We recommend
that you have your screen fitted by an authorised workshop.

How to mount the screen onto your motorbike:
1. Stand your motorbike up on a level surface.
2. Mount the handlebar clamps with the spacers onto the handlebars (P1 + P2).
3. Insert the M6 nuts into the clamps from the rear (P2).
4. Mount the brackets onto the clamps using the M6 x 40 mm Allen screws and black washers (P2 +
P3).
5. While mounting the brackets, press each M6 nut part of the way into the clamps using your fingers
for the screw to mesh with the nut.
6. Turn in the screws without tightening them. Insert the rubber nuts into the brackets (P3). Line up
the brackets using the MRA screen towards the centre and at right angles to your motorbike.
7. Make sure that the clamps do not touch the speedometer housing, and that the MRA screen does
not touch the brake and clutch fluid expansion tank.
8. Once the brackets are correctly lined up, tighten the M6 x 40 mm screws and place the caps onto
the clamps (P5).
9. Mount your MRA screen onto the brackets using the M5 x 16 mm oval head screws and plastic
washers, and tighten the screws.
10. Mount the edge protection strip included as shown in P5, and cut off any excess as necessary.
11. Slide the end sleeves over the end of the edge protection strip, and gently squeeze the sleeves with
a pair of pliers to secure the edge protection strip.
After installation, check that all of the screws are tight; tighten them up if necessary. Repeat this at
regular intervals. Clean the screen with water, neutral soap and a sponge. Do not use solvents, alcohol or
spirits to clean the screen as they will damage it.
