Transporting transformer to the operating site

WARNING

Danger of death or severe injury!

Danger of death or severe injury from explosive gases under the on-load
tap-changer head cover, in the pipework system, in the oil conservator or at
the dehydrating breather opening!
► Ensure that there are no naked flames, hot surfaces or sparks (for ex-

ample caused by static charging) in the immediate surroundings and
that none occur.

Transport with removed drive

If you have to remove the drive to transport the transformer, proceed as fol-
lows:
1.

Ensure that the drive and the on-load tap-changer/de-energized tap-
changer are in the adjustment position.

2.

Remove the drive.

3.

Do not actuate the drive while the on-load tap-changer/de-energized
tap-changer is not coupled and do not turn the output shaft.

4.

Do not actuate an on-load tap-changer/de-energized tap-changer which
is not coupled and do not turn its drive shaft.

5.

Transport drive to installation site in the MR delivery packaging.

6.

Fit drive and drive shaft to transformer at the operating site (see
[

Transport with oil fill and without oil conservator

If the transformer is filled with oil but stored or transported without an oil con-
servator, a connecting lead for pressure compensation must be installed be-
tween the interior of the compartment and the transformer tank's oil cham-
ber.
