DHCP Server
DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) is a networking protocol that allows administrators to assign
temporary IP addresses to network computers by “leasing” an IP address to a user for a limited amount of
time, instead of assigning permanent IP addresses.
The OnCell G3470A-LTE can act as a DHCP server and assign IP addresses to your DHCP clients by
responding to DHCP requests from the clients. The IP-related parameters you set on this page will also be
sent to the client.
You can also assign a static IP address to a specific client by entering its MAC address. The OnCell G3470A-
LTE provides a
Static DHCP mapping
list with up to 16 entities. Be reminded to check the
Active
check
box for each entity to activate the setting.
You can check the IP assignment status in the
DHCP Client List
screen (click
Status > DHCP Client List
).
