SAFETY AND HANDLING INFORMATION
Important Safety Information
WARNING
Please read these safety warnings and cautions carefully to ensure your personal
safety and prevent property damage. Failure to follow these safety instructions could result in
fire, electric shock, or other injuries, or damage to mc.mini or other property. Read all the
safety information below before using mc.mini.
Handling
Handle mc.mini with care. It is made of metal and plastic and has sensitive electronic
components inside. Do not place mc.mini on high surfaces such as shelves. During music
playback mc.mini may move which could cause mc.mini to shift and fall off the edge. Do not
drop, disassemble, open, crush, bend, deform, puncture, shred, microwave, incinerate, paint,
or insert foreign objects in your mc.mini. Such actions could result in electric shock and may
cause injury. Your mc.mini can also be damaged if it comes in contact with liquid. Do not
expose your mc.mini to liquid, moisture, humidity, or rain. Do not use mc.mini near a bathtub,
sink, sauna, pool, or steam room. Exposure of mc.mini to moisture could result in electric
shock. Never use a damaged mc.mini as it may cause injury.
Distraction and automobile accident hazard
Using mc.mini in some circumstances can distract
you and may cause a dangerous situation. Do not leave or store your mc.mini or any of its
accessories near or over your automobile’s air bag because serious injury may result when an
air bag deploys.
Hearing loss
Listening to sound at high volumes may damage your hearing. Background noise,
as well as continued exposure to high volume levels, can make sounds seem quieter than they
actually are. For information about how to set the volume on mc.mini, see Controlling your
music on page 5.
WARNING
To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long
periods.
Charging
Charge mc.mini with the included USB cable. You can also charge it using a Mova
Systems USB power adapter (available separately), or with other third-party "Made for
mc.mini" cables and power adapters that are compatible with USB 2.0, or power adapters
compliant with one or more of the following standards: EN 301489-34, IEC 62684, YD/T 1591-
2009, CNS 15285, ITU L.1000, or another applicable Bluetooth speaker power adapter
interoperability standard. In this case, please then plug the USB charger to a power outlet.
Other adapter may be needed to connect mc.mini to some compatible power adapters. Using
damaged cables or chargers, or charging when moisture is present, can cause electric shock. If
you an USB Power Adapter to charge, make sure that the AC plug or AC power cord is fully
