set entry modes
Multiple text entry modes make it easy for you to
enter names, numbers, and messages:
To set up Primary or Secondary entry mode:
1 Press Options in any text entry screen.
2 Scroll to Text Setup and press Select .
3 Scroll to Prim a ry Text or Second a ry Text and press Ch a nge .
4 Scroll to one of these methods and press Select :
Your phone may not contain all of the languages listed
above.
When you select Prim a ry or Second a ry entry mode, the
phone will use the method you assigned to that mode.

Prim a ry Enter text using the method you set.
Numeric Enter numbers only (see page 24).
Symbol Enter symbols only (see page 24).
Second a ry Enter text using the method you set.

iTAP English Phone predicts English words as you
press keys (see page 23).
iTAP Fr a nç a is Phone predicts Spanish words as you
press keys.
T a p English Enter letters and numbers by pressing
a key one or more times (see page 22).
T a p Extended Enter letters, numbers, and symbols by
pressing a key one or more times (see
page 22).
