8.3.1

System Configuration

The configuration of the 500 Series Bridge is organized into three sections:

•

General

configuration

•

LAN

configuration

•

QoS

Configuration

•

Save and Restore

The general configuration allows modification of high level administrative (descriptive)

attributes and high level wireless configuration.

The LAN configuration sub menu allows the system administrator to modify the Ethernet and

IP configuration of the 500 Series Bridge.

The QoS configuration sub menu allows the system administrator to modify the classification

of priority encoded Ethernet frames into traffic classes.

The save and restore submenu allows the system administrator to backup and restore the

bridge configuration. It is recommended after a unit has been successfully installed; a copy of

the active configuration is taken and archived by the system administrator.

8.3.1.1

General Configuration Page

The general configuration page (Figure 30) is used by the system administrator to configure

the 500 Series Bridge’s high level administrative (descriptive) attributes and high level

wireless configuration.
