Muting the Keypad Tones

The radio’s keypad tones, normally heard each
time a keypad key is pressed, can be turned off
(muted) or on (unmuted) at your discretion. To
use the keypad mute feature:

Press the right arrow key ( ) until “

MUTE

”

appears on the display.

Press the key below “

MUTE

.” The current mute

state (“

TONES ON

” = keypad tones unmuted;

“

TONES OFF

” = keypad tones muted) appears on

the display for a few seconds.

Then, the display shows “

” and “

OFF

.”

Press the key below the desired mute state (on
or off). The radio automatically returns to the
home display.
