Some locations may be covered by only one channel. Canadian
locations will allow the selection of any channel 1-7. You may need to
relocate the receiver or adjust the antenna for best reception.

each additional county/parish/city
The weather alert radio is now configured for your location. In this
configuration, the alert siren and color coded text display only for the
location and the weather channel frequency you selected.
Temporary Override of the Weather Channel setting
You can manually tune and temporarily monitor announcements on any channel.

The receiver channel will automatically revert to the default SET
LOCATION configuration after 10 minutes.

Manually Entering a Location
To manually program the weather alert radio with a single county, parish, city,
or marine area, you need to know the SAME (USA)/CLC (Canadian) 6-digit
code and the correct weather channel frequency for that location.
To identify the appropriate SAME codes and NOAA channels, visit the NOAA
website: http://www.nws.noaa.gov/nwr/Maps/.

Setting the Emergency Alert Event Level
You can block the siren from sounding on some messages that may not be
relevant to your geographic area. For example, a flood warning that may be
issued in your county may not affect your location. You may not want the siren
to sound for a flood warning.
Note:
The Public Alert standard requires the receiver to respond always with
the color coded backlight and an audible siren to a minimum of 28 events,
and to respond to the standard set of 67 events as a factory default. Certain
events may not presently be broadcast in all areas.
