To select a text entry mode:
Press Options in any text entry screen, scroll to and
select Ch a nge Text Mode # , then scroll to and select the
desired entry mode.

When you select Prim a ry or Second a ry entry mode, these
indicators identify the entry setting:

This is the standard method for entering text.
Regular T a p method cycles through the letters and
numbers of the key you press. The T a p Extended method
cycles through letters, numbers, and symbols. If T a p or
T a p Extended is not available as the Prim a ry or Second a ry entry
mode, see page 20.
