NOTE: This device is approved under the Symbol Technologies brand; Symbol Technologies, 
Inc., is the Enterprise Mobility business of Motorola, Inc (“Motorola”).

Motorola's wireless network devices are designed to be compliant with rules and regulations in locations 
they are sold.

Any changes or modifications to Motorola equipment, not expressly approved by Motorola, could void the 
user's authority to operate the equipment.

CAUTION: 

The OEM integrator must NOT provide information in the host product’s user guide on how to 

install or remove the RF module.

8.1 Final Product Compliance

The model number used for Regulatory Approval are LA-5137C2 for the connector version and LA-5137A2 for 
the antenna version.

The LA-5137 has been regulatory approved for OEM integrations which meet the following conditions:

a.

The radio integration is embedded.

b.

The antenna must be installed such that 20 cm is maintained between the antenna and users

c.

The 'Type' and 'Gain' of the antenna selected for the integration of the external antenna must meet the 
requirements as detailed in section 8.4.

Used outside of these conditions will trigger the re-approval process. Motorola recommends the use of an 
accredited test laboratory. Be prepared, the certification process for your product may take from a few weeks 
to several months.
