Troubleshooting
Problem
Solution
No camera picture
•
Ensure all cables are firmly connected.
•
Ensure that your Gateway is powered.
•
Ensure you have the proper camera selected.
Poor picture quality
•
Ensure camera cables are not coming into contact with other types of
cables, including electric and phone lines.
•
Ensure proper camera quality settings are configured when viewing a
live web cam.
•
Ensure there is proper lighting.
Motion events are not
triggered
•
Ensure that all cables are firmly connected. For non-standard cable
types, ensure that the proper converter is being used.
•
Ensure the camera is not positioned behind glass. The motion sensor is
triggered by changes in heat. Any material such as glass that "insulates"
the camera will not be able to detect motion.
•
Ensure the camera head is positioned properly.
