bar code capture

- Press & Release: Press and release the 
Scan key to trigger bar code scanning.

• To change the Aiming Mode, select:

 

- Normal: When the Scan key is pressed, a red 
cross pattern is shown on the screen. The bar 
code is automatically scanned upon detection.

 

- Aim First: When the Scan key is pressed, a 
red cross pattern is shown on the screen. Upon 
detection of a bar code, the cross turns to 
green. Press the Scan key to capture the bar 
code.

• To change the Aiming Pattern, select:

 

- Target Mark: The EWP displays cross 
pattern on the screen to help you aim at the bar 
code.

 

- Aimer LED: The EWP projects a red line of 
light to help you aim at the bar code.

 

- Off: No aimer pattern.

• To project flash illumination from the EWP 

during bar code scan, check the Illumination 
box.
