Section 2C: Setting Your Phone’s Security

Erasing Data

You can use your phone’s Security menu to erase all entries in 
your Contacts, all items in My Content, all voice record, all 
items in Pictures, or all messages from your phone.

To erase all items of a certain type:

1.

Press 

O

 

> Settings/Tools > Settings > Security

2.

Enter your lock code. (The Security

 

menu is displayed.)

3.

Select 

Manage Applications

.

4.

Select the type of item you want to erase.

5.

If you are sure you wish to erase all these items, press 

Yes 

(left softkey).

Resetting Your Phone

You can reset some or all of your settings to their factory or 
service defaults.

Browser

 – Erases your browser history, Bookmarks, 

cookies, recent lists, auto-complete text, and URLs.

䢇

Favorites

 – Restores all Favorites to their factory defaults.

䢇

Personal Dictionary 

– Restores all your Personal Dictionary 

to its factory defaults.

䢇

All Settings

 – Restores all phone settings to their factory 

defaults.

䢇

Walkie Talkie Service

 – Allows Sprint Customer Service to 

reset your Nextel Walkie-Talkie service in the event of a 
security or provisioning issue. 

䢇

Phone Reset 

– Deletes all items in Contacts, My Content, 

Voice Records, Pictures, and Messages, and resets Nextel 
Walkie-Talkie Services.
