Selecting Preset Rad io Statio ns
To select preset radio stations with the DCP501:

Press
SOURCE
to tuner or press
AM
/
FM
. DCP501 display shows:
the last radio station tuned
the band (AM or FM)
the preset number assigned to that station (if any)

CHANNEL
/
PRESET
on the front of the DCP501, or channel up/down on the remote
control to retrieve the desired preset number or directly enter the preset number using the
numeric buttons on your DCP501 remote control. Each preset station number is displayed
with its radio band and frequency.
S o u n d E f f e c t s
The DCP501 automatically selects a sound effect when possible, but this can be overridden. The
DCP501 stores the last audio mode used for a particular input
SOURCE
selection and
automatically selects that audio mode when you re-select that source. Normally,
AUDIO MODE
is
reserved for video sources that contain the information required to decode the audio mode such
as a cable TV movie or a DVD.

Press
AUDIO MODE
and the currently selected surround sound mode is displayed on your TV
and the DCP501 display. DCP501 audio modes include:
Dolby Digital
Dolby Pro Logic II (Movie, Music, & Emulation)
Dolby Pro Logic
Dolby 3 Channel Stereo
dts
Stereo
Six DSP sound effects
