Talkaround
This feature allows you to continue communicating when
your repeater is non-operational, or when your radio is out
of range from the repeater but within the talk range of other
radios.
The talkaround setting is retained even after powering
down.
Toggling Between Repeater and
Talkaround Modes
Press the programmed
Repeater/Talkaround
button.
If a positive tone sounds, your radio is in talkaround mode.
If a negative tone sounds, your radio is in repeater mode.
