Assembly 

 

 
 
 
All the steps described for the assembly of the microscope must be undertaken with extreme care, 
and without forcing the placement of the distinct parts and elements of the microscope.  

 

A.  Condenser (10): Turn the coarse 

focus knob (19) until the stage (8) 
reaches its highest position. Turn 
the focussing knob on the 
condenser (Fig.1) until the 
condenser holder reaches its 
lowest position. Unscrew the 
knurled locking screw on the 
condenser, and insert the 
condenser in the mounting ring so 
that the aperture of the diaphragm 
(9) faces the front of the 
microscope and so can be 
adjusted easily. Once firmly 
placed in the mounting ring, firmly 
tighten the locking screw, and turn 
the condenser focusing knob until 
in its highest position.
