Machine Description
Model 185XMGR Super-Duty Kontrol-Karrier is designed to lift, transport, and dispense
a ribbed 55-gallon (208 liter) steel drum 22.5” (57.2 cm) in diameter. The maximum full-
drum capacity is 2500 Lb. (1134 kg). The capacity is derated to 1250 Lb. (567 kg) for a
half-full drum. The half-full rating is based on the tilt mechanism’s capacity for handling an
unbalanced bottom-heavy drum.

raised drum handler or drum. Read operating instructions and review the pictures in the
sales brochure before operation.

The model 185XMGR has a maximum capacity rating of 2500 Lb. (1134 kg) full drum

gallon (208 liter) steel drum. DO NOT exceed these ratings. Exceeding these ratings
or handling drums other than those mentioned above is unsafe and could result in
equipment damage, excessive wear or awkward handling.

Assembly Instructions
Remove the chain wheel components from the small cardboard box packaged with the

185XMGR.
Insert 3/16 square key into the key way on the input shaft of the speed reducer.

Slide the chain wheel assembly onto shaft with the keyway in the triangle lined up with

the square key. Tighten the collar set screw.
Remove the metal screw-plug on top of the speed reducer.

Look into the hole to verify oil is in the speed reducer.

Install the plastic vent-plug in place of the metal screw-plug to allow internal pressure to

equalize with atmospheric pressure.
