Location
•
Ensure the appliance is used on a firm, flat surface.
•
Do not use the appliance outdoors or in a bathroom.
•
Do not place the appliance on a highly polished wooden
surface as damage may occur to the surface.
•
Do not place the appliance on or near a hot surface such
as a hot plate or radiant rings or near a naked flame.
Mains cable
•
Do not let the mains cable hang over the edge of the
worktop where a child could reach it.
•
Do not let the cable run across an open space e.g.
between a low socket and a table.
•
Do not let the cable run across a cooker or other hot area
which might damage the cable.
•
The mains cable should reach from the socket to the
base unit without straining the connections.
•
Do not let the mains cable come into contact with the
rotating blades.
Personal safety
•
Always disconnect from the mains supply if it is left
unattended and before assembling, disassembling or
cleaning.
•
Never feed food by hand. Always use the pusher.
•
WARNING: To protect against the risk of electric shock,
NEVER immerse the appliance body in water or in any
other liquid and always ensure the electrical connections
are kept dry.
Other safety considerations
•
Disconnect the appliance from the mains supply when
not in use, before taking off attachments and before
cleaning. Never pull on the cord to unplug the appliance.
•
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or
plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been
damaged in any manner.
•
The use of attachments or tools not recommended or
sold by Morphy Richards may cause fire, electric shock
or injury.
•
Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use.
•
Do not over load. This could cause damage to the motor.
•
Make sure the motor blades have stopped before
removing the food chamber.
•
Do not operate with wet hands or for extended periods of
time.
•
Use only for food preparation as described in this
instruction book.
Electrical requirements
Check that the voltage on the rating plate of your
appliance corresponds with your house electricity supply
which must be A.C. (Alternating Current).
If the socket outlets in your home are not suitable for the
plug supplied with this appliance, the plug should be re
moved and the appropriate one fitted.
WARNING : The plug removed from the mains lead, if
severed, must be destroyed, as a plug with a bared
flexible cord is hazardous if engaged into a live socket
outlet.
Should the fuse in the mains plug require changing, a 3
amp BS1362 fuse must be fitted.
The use of any electrical appliance requires the following common sense safety rules.
Please read these instructions carefully before using the product.

Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
•
This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and
its cord out of the reach of children. Children shall not play with the
appliance.
•
If the supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced with a special
cable assembly available from the manufacturer or its service agent in
order to avoid a hazard.
•

•
Do not use longer than time periods recomended in Usage on page 5.
•
Do not touch moving parts. Keep hands, hair and clothing, and
utensils away from the attachment blades during operation, to
prevent personal injury and/or damage to the appliance.
•
Drums are sharp. Care is needed when handling cutting drums,
especially when removing the blade from the unit, emptying the
drum and food chamber during cleaning.
