9. TROUBLESHOOTING & FAQ
The Motor is in Holding Position, but does not rotate:
This means that Power is being supplied to the driver and motor, so the power supply is OK.
However, the signal generator might be causing the problem. Try changing the signal to TTL. If this
doesn't help, is the ex5 VDC Power connected? Be sure that the step pulses are a 0 to 5V
squarewave with even on and off time.
I did the resistor calculation, but there is no standard resistor at that value. Is it better to use the
higher or lower value resistor?
We recommend that you use the resistor that will give you the lower current output to be on the safe
side.
