SAFETY
REGULATIONS
Warning:
When

safety
precautions

The
following
instructions
need
to
be
observed
to
reduce
the
risk
of
fire,

General
1.
Read
this
user
manual
carefully
before
you
use
this
blanket
and
keep
it
for
future
reference.
2.
Use
this
blanket
only
as
described
in
this
user
manual.
3.
Check
if
the
voltage
indicated
on
the
blanket
corresponds
to
the
local
voltage
before
you
connect
the
blanket.
4.
Always
use
an
earthed
socket.
5.
Check
the
blanket
regularly
for
damage.
Do
not
use
the
blanket
in
case
the
power
cord
or
plug
is
damaged,
or
when
any
part
of
the
blanket
has
been
damaged.
If
the
power
cord
is
damaged,
you
must
have
it
replaced
by
Van
den
Berg
Products
or
a
service
centre
authorized
by
Van
den
Berg
Products
in
order
to
avoid
safety
hazards.
6.
This
blanket
is
not
intended
for
use
by
children
or
persons
with
reduced
physical,
sensory
or
mental
capabilities,
or
lack
of
experience
and
knowledge,
unless
they
are
supervised
or
given
instruction
regarding
the
use
of
the
blanket
by
a
person
responsible
for
their
safety.
Careful
supervision
is
required
if
the
blanket
is
used
near
children,
pets
or
plants.
7.
Do
not
allow
children
to
play
with
the
packaging
as
it
can
suffocate
them.
8.
Do
not
leave
the
blanket
unattended
when
the
plug
is
in
the
socket.
Always
switch
the
blanket
off
and
take
the
plug
from
the
socket
when
you
are
not
using
the
blanket.
9.
Never
pull
the
power
cord
to
disconnect
the
plug
from
the
socket;
instead,
hold
the
plug
and
gently
pull
to
disconnect.
10.
Do
not
use
the
blanket
with
an
extension
cord
unless
this
extension
cord
has
been
checked
and
tested
by
a
qualified
mechanic.
11.
Do
not
pull
or
carry
the
blanket
by
its
power
cord
and
do
not
use
the
power
cord
as
a
handle.
Do
not
pull
the
power
cord
around
sharp
edges
or
corners.
12.
Keep
the
blanket,
the
plug
and
the
power
cord
away
from
open
flames
and
hot
surfaces.
13.
Always
store
the
blanket
indoors.
14.
Never
immerse
the
power
cord
in
water
or
other
liquids.
15.
This
blanket
is
only
intended
for
domestic
use
only
and
NOT
for
industrial
or
commercial
use.
16.
The
electric
blanket
is
only
to
be
used
as
under
blanket
.
Not
recommended
for
fold
‐
away
bed
systems.
17.
The
blanket
cannot
be
used
on
a
water
bed.
18.
If
the
blanket
is
placed
on
a
slatted
base
or
when
there
are

mattresses
side
by
side,
please
ensure
the
blanket
and/or
the
power
cord
does
not
get
tucked
in
or
trapped.
19.
Keep
the
blanket
away
from
pets.
20.
Extended
use
of
the
blanket
at
the
highest
heat
setting
may
cause
irritations
or
burns
on
the
skin.
21.
Do
not
tuck
the
blanket
in
between
the
edge
of
the
bed
and
the
mattress.
22.
Do
not
use
the
blanket
in
a
folded
or
crinkled
state.
23.
The
blanket
must
be
placed
completely
flat
during
use
to
prevent
overheating.
24.
Spread
the
electric
blanket
over
the
bed,
avoiding
the
pillows.
25.
The
power
cable
and
switch
must
be
kept
outside
of
the
bed
if
possible.
26.
Do
not
use
pins
to
secure
the
blanket,
as
these
may
damage
the
electric
wiring.
27.
Never
switch
the
electric
blanket
on
when
it
is
wet.
Allow
the
blanket
to
dry
completely
before
using
it.
