Maintenance
Warning: Always be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged before attempting to perform inspection
or maintenance.
Cleaning
After.each.use,.use.compressed.air.to.blow.dust.and.grit.out.of.the.motor.housing,.and.especially.the.air.vent..This.
neces-sary.regular.maintenance.procedure.will.prevent.dust.and.grit.from.accumulating.on.interior.surfaces.and..
reducing.motor.cooling.efficiency.
Carbon Brush Replacement
1. ..Remove.the.screw.from.the.rear.case.and.pull.the.rear.case..
from.the.motor.body.
2. ..Pull.out.the.receptacle.of.the.Faston.Terminal.from..
the.Brush.Holder.tab.
3. ..Lift.the.top.of.the.Brush.Spring,.pushing.the.upper.
face.of.the.Carbon.Brush,.using.a.pair.of.tweezers.or.a.similar.tool.
4. ..Remove.the.worn-out.Carbon.Brush.from.the.
Brush.Holder.and.install.a.new.one.
5. .Insert.the.receptacle.to.the.Brush.Holder.tab.
6.
..Make.sure.that.both.Carbon.Brushes.are.pushed.
properly.by.the.Brush.Springs,.and.that.the.
receptacles.are.inserted.to.the.tabs.
7. .Reassemble.the.rear.case.with.the.specified.screw.
Warning: Both of the carbon brushes should be replaced at the same time.
Lubrication
The.MBX
®
.Electric.3200A.should.be.relubricated.regularly,.every.six.months.to.one.year,.depending.on.the.rate.of.use..
Frequent.use.or.constant.use.on.production.or.heavy-duty.jobs.may.require.more.frequent.relubrication..This.tool.should.
be.relubricated.only.by.trained.power.tool.repairpersons.or.other.qualified.tool.servicers..
