Possible Causes
Solutions
Hand Vacuum will not operate.
No power coming from electrical outlet.
Check fuse or breaker, and replace fuse or
reset breaker if needed.
Safety Shutoff Feature temporarily
Unlplug unit, empty Dust Cup, clean Dust Cup Filter
cuts off power to the unit.
and let unit cool for 20 minutes.
Unit needs servicing.
Send/take appliance to an authorized service center.
Call Customer Service.
Hand Vacuum will not pick up, or
Dust Cup is full.
Empty Dust Cup (see above).

Remove Dust Cup filter and check for object(s)
in air duct and remove. Clean Filter by brushing dust
& dirt clinging to outside of Filter.
Dust escaping from Hand Vacuum.
Dust Cup is full.
Empty Dust Cup.
Dust Cup filter installed incorrectly.
Review Dust Cup instructions.
There is a hole in Dust Cup filter.
Replace Dust Cup filter.
Hand Vacuum brushes will not pick up.
Dust Cup is full.
Empty Dust Cup.
Attachment may be clogged.
Unclog attachment.
*IMPORTANT*
Vacuum automatically shuts off if Dust Cup is full or Filter is too
dirty, due to overheating.
Please follow these steps to reset the unit:
1. Unplug unit.
2. Empty Dust Cup.
3. Clean Filter.
4. Let unit cool for 20 minutes.
Unit should operate after above steps have been followed. If this
