Multifrequency Receiving Module
Please read these operating instructions carefully
prior to the installation and keep them for later use.
1
Operating Elements
1 Display to indicate the receiving channel and the
receiving frequency
2 Diversity indication A/B:
will show red or green to indicate which of the two
receiving antennas A or B is presently active
3 Receiving indication RF:
lights up when a matching transmitter is switched
on and adjusted to the radio frequency of the re-
ceiver
4 Indication AF for the audio signal received:
lights up when an audio signal is received
5 Key SET to call the adjusting mode for the receiving
channel and to confirm the channel selection
6 Arrow keys
– to adjust the channel in the adjusting mode:
key
for channel selection “upward”, key
for
channel selection “downward”
– to shortly switch the display (1) to indicate the
radio frequency: as long as the key
or
is
kept pressed, the display shows the frequency
instead of the channel.
7 On/off switch and volume control for the audio sig-
nal received

Important Notes
The module corresponds to all required directives of
the EU and is therefore marked with
.
●
Protect the module against dripping water and
splash water, high air humidity, and heat (admissi-
ble ambient temperature range 0 – 40 °C).
●
No guarantee claims for the module and no liability
for any resulting personal damage or material
damage will be accepted if the module is used for
other purposes than originally intended, if it is not
correctly connected, operated, or not repaired in an
expert way.
3
Applications
The receiving module TXA-802MR serves as a re-
placement part for the mobile MONACOR amplifier
systems of the series TXA-800 or as an extension if a
second receiving channel is required. Furthermore,
an independent audio radio transmission path can be
set up in connection with the transmitter module
TXA-802MT, the wireless microphone TXA-800HT, or
the pocket transmitter TXA-800HSE.
If the module is to be put out of operation
definitively, take it to a local recycling plant for
a disposal which is not harmful to the envi-
ronment.
4
Installation and Connection
If the module is used as a replacement part for a unit
of the series TXA-800, it is only necessary to ex-
change it for the module installed.
For extending the unit TXA-800 or TXA-800CD by a
second receiving channel, unscrew the plate at the
right next to the existing receiving module and insert
the TXA-802MR instead. Pay attention that the PCB is
correctly inserted into the lateral guide rails.
When installing the module into other units, the CE
directives have to be observed. Make the electrical
connection via the 10 strip conductor contacts as
follows:
1)
For the diversity technique two antennas are required. The trans-
mitting signal is received by two antennas located at a distance
from each other and then checked for its quality. An electronic
system will switch noiselessly to the antenna with the highest sig-
nal quality.
2)
All four ground connections (pins 2, 4, 6, 9) must be intercon-
nected, otherwise no operation will be possible!
5
Operation
1) Switch on the receiving module with the on/off
switch and the volume control (7). The display (1)
will show the adjusted receiving channel. The indi-
cation A/B (2) will show red or green depending on
the receiving antenna A or B presently active.
2) Leave the corresponding transmitter switched off
for the time being. First set the receiving module to
a transmission channel which is interference-free
and not in use:
a Press the key SET (5). The channel indication in
the display flashes.
b As long as the channel indication flashes (for
approx. 10 seconds), the channel can be select-

WARNING
Always disconnect the unit into which
the module is to be installed from the
mains voltage before installation. Other-
wise there is an electric shock hazard.

selection “upward”, key

“downward”.
c Confirm the channel selection with the key SET.
(If the selection is not confirmed within 10 sec-
onds with the key SET, the unit will return to the
channel previously adjusted.)
If the indication RF (3) lights up after channel se-
lection with the transmitter switched off, interfering
signals or signals of other transmitters are received
on this channel. In this case adjust the receiving
module to a different channel.
3) To indicate the receiving frequency of the adjusted
channel, keep the key
or
pressed. As long as
one of the keys is pressed, the display shows the
frequency instead of the channel.
4) Switch on the corresponding transmitter and adjust
it to the same channel as the receiving module. The
indication RF (3) will light up to indicate that a radio
signal is received. The indication AF (4) will light up
when the transmitter transmits an audio signal with
sufficient level on the adjusted radio frequency.
5) With the control (7) adjust the audio level at the
audio output (pin 5).
